Welcome to BYG Taxa
We are an independent consultancy providing identification services covering all fauna and flora taxa, worldwide. We also conduct biodiversity inventories, monitoring studies, environmental assessments, impact studies, as well as provide communication and training services related to environment and biodiversity.
BYG acronym stands for “Blue Yellow Green”, referring to the colours of the various types of habitats found in the World, since our services cover all natural environments.
Meet our Founder
BYG Taxa was set up in 2021 by Eric Ythier, M.Sc.
Eric is an entomologist, arachnologist and ecotoxicologist, with over 25 years’ experience in these areas.
He obtained his M.Sc. in Entomology from the University of Tours, France in 2003 then worked in academia before joining a global agricultural chemical and seed company, as an arthropodologist and ecotoxicologist.
He then joined a leading agricultural and seed product development service provider, as Study Director, then Ecotoxicology Team Lead, GLP Test Facility Manager, Global Ecotoxicology Account Manager, EMEA & APAC Business Development Manager. He is now Global Sales & Business Development Director.
Eric has authored one book and more than 100 scientific peer-reviewed publications on arthropods. He has described over 50 species new to science.
